28 For Twenty Eight
October 1 @ 6:00 am - October 31 @ 11:30 pm
28 for TWENTY EIGHT is a Mental Health Month initiative in October 2020, encouraging Australians to take ten minutes to meditate each day, for 28 consecutive days. Guided meditations will be available online via Facebook to promote this year’s theme of ‘Tune In’, so participants can take part anywhere, anytime.
In addition to providing free guided meditations to the community, ‘28 for TWENTY EIGHT’ will raise funds for Lifeline. Currently, it costs Lifeline $28 to answer a single call, a small price to pay for a life-saving conversation. We are asking people to donate $1 a day for the duration of the campaign. By taking part, we can make a tangible difference to our own mental health, and also the lives of community members who may be doing it tougher than we realise.
Making Meditation Mainstream is excited to continue the movement of bringing meditation to the mainstream community. We’re trying to dispel the view that meditation is only for certain people with certain interests. Through projects like ’28 for TWENTY EIGHT’, together we can bring meditation to people in a way that’s inclusive, safe and welcoming – plus, raise money for Lifeline along the way.
Join the challenge today and let’s meditate for 28 days, starting 1st October 2020.
