Addressing Mental Health Research, Discovery and Cures

October 9 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

Free

NeuRAtalks is a seminar series presented by NeuRA – Neuroscience Research Australia across a wide range of mental disorders by leading researchers in their field of study during Mental Health Week 2017. The aim of NeuRAtalks is to provide the community with the opportunity to engage with some of Australia’s leading neuroscientists to learn more about the research work being undertaken at NeuRA, and how this work is leading the way in finding discoveries, to cure and conquer the most debilitating disorders of the brain and spinal cord. At NeuRA we stand committed to supporting those, suffering from neurological and psychological disorders, their loved ones, carers and community.

In this, the first of our series NeuRAtalks – Addressing Mental Health Research, Discovery and Cures we will be showcasing the great work currently happening in Bipolar, Depression and Schizophrenia research. We will be hearing from Prof. Cyndi Shannon Weickert, Dr. Jan Fullerton and Dr. Nikki Williams. Also use this an oppurtunity to experience the amazing Light of Thoughts Brain Sculpture.

For further information, we encourage everyone to go to www.neuratalks.org to read all the speaker bio’s and find out more about how NeuRA is Lighting The Way on mental health research.

Hearing Loop is avaliable for the hearing impaired.
