NeuRAtalks is a seminar series presented by NeuRA – Neuroscience Research Australia across a wide range of mental disorders by leading researchers in their field of study during Mental Health Week 2017. The aim of NeuRAtalks is to provide the community with the opportunity to engage with some of Australia’s leading neuroscientists to learn more about the research work being undertaken at NeuRA, and how this work is leading the way in finding discoveries, to cure and conquer the most debilitating disorders of the brain and spinal cord. At NeuRA we stand committed to supporting those, suffering from neurological and psychological disorders, their loved ones, carers and community.
In this the second of our series of NeuRAtalks – Looking Ahead: Where is Mental Health Research Going? It will be your chance to ask questions and seek answers, whilst hearing about the future providence of mental health research. We will be hearing from Prof. Cyndi Shannon Weickert, Dr. Jan Fullerton, Dr. Nikki Williams and our special guest Dr. Richard Schweizer, a remarkable young man who against all odds has found a pathway through life with Schizophrenia, a university degree, and is a beacon of light for all living with Schizophrenia. Be inspired by his talk.
Also see the amazing Vivid Lights, as they beautifully illuminate the building and lobby, and the amazing Light of Thoughts Brain Sculpture.
For further information we encourage everyone to go to www.neuratalks.org to read all the speaker bio’s and find out more about how NeuRA is Lighting The Way on mental health research.
