NeuRAtalks is a seminar series presented by NeuRA – Neuroscience Research Australia across a wide range of mental disorders by leading researchers in their field of study during Mental Health Week 2017. The aim of NeuRAtalks is to provide the community with the opportunity to engage with some of Australia’s leading neuroscientists to learn more about the research work being undertaken at NeuRA, and how this work is leading the way in finding discoveries, to cure and conquer the most debilitating disorders of the brain and spinal cord. At NeuRA we stand committed to supporting those, suffering from neurological and psychological disorders, their loved ones, carers and community.
In this the third of our series NeuRAtalks – Managing Mental Health in the Workplace, we will be exploring the research in Bipolar, Depression and Schizophrenia and discussing the search for a cure. We will be hearing from Prof. Cyndi Shannon Weickert, Dr. Jan Fullerton, Dr. Nikki Williams and our special guest Dr. Richard Schweizer, a remarkable young man who against all odds has found a pathway through life with Schizophrenia, a university degree, and is a beacon of light for all living with Schizophrenia. Be inspired by his talk.
The seminar will be presented in The Metcalf Room of the State Library of New South Wales.
