Come and join us as we join with others around Australia in celebrating Mental Health Week 2017! We will have a number of events, stalls and speakers from the Health and Fitness and Sports Industries, sharing their experiences and practical strategies for how to look after your brain and your body to maximise and manage your mental health.
Our brain is our biggest asset, however, we still have a way to go to reduce the stigma around seeking help or even prioritising our health over work, family and friends so we can be better workers, family members and friends. This event is designed with a festival atmosphere as a celebration of good mental health, with space for education around practical skills for maintaining good mental health, and serious conversations around the challenges and warning signs of mental illness.
Mini-workshops and demonstrations will occur throughout the morning with free samples and plenty of giveaways! The main event will be a panel of high profile speakers from the sporting world, sharing their experiences in conjunction with a Sport Psychologist.
