Paws for a Second

October 14 @ 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 3:30 pm on Monday and Wednesday, repeating until October 30, 2019

Free

Young Camden residents who are studying for exams and assessments as part of their Higher school Certificate (HSC) will have the opportunity to ‘paws’ for a second at Narellan Library every Monday and Wednesday during October, starting Wednesday 2 October from 3:30pm – 4:30pm.

This is a partnership program driven by Camden Council’s Youth Services with PAWS Pet Therapy and the Camden Youth Council to support young people who are looking for a much needed positive study break and have some fun with puppies. October is also Mental Health Month and this is an activity organised by the Camden Youth Council to address local issues of this topic in regards to stress around HSC time.

Packs are distributed to young people as part of this program containing information provided to Camden Council from Lifeline Macarthur and Beyond Blue, as well as Council’s Youth Services information.
