This is the third year that Wellness Walk is being held. And WayAhead – Mental Health Association NSW has become a partner with the Sunflower Foundation’s Wellness Walk.
The Wellness Walk is a yearly 5km walk. It starts at 10am, Sunday 11th of October, at Government House Sydney, across the Sydney Harbour Bridge to Milsons Point, and returning – with the finishing line at Government House. Where there is much to celebrate, enjoy and learn at the Wellness Festival!
It’s a family friendly walk suitable for all ages & abilities, plus it’s push chair and wheel chair accessible.
This a wonderful event brings together people from all walks of life in a positive, active and fun environment because together we make a difference.
The walk starts at 10am at Government House, Sydney. We walk along Cahill Expressway to Sydney Harbour Bridge. We continue along Sydney Harbour Bridge pedestrian path and across the Bridge (not over the arches!) to Milsons Point. Here we turn back and return. We leave the Bridge via stairs to Cumberland Street and continue to Argyle Street in The Rocks.
From there we walk past Circular Quay to Government House and the Finish Line! Following the Walk, join in the wellness festival with live music, family friendly activities such as face painting, photo booths, yoga or Zumba and useful information about wellbeing.
Mental health Month organisers’ WayAhead would like to encourage everyone to take part in the walk by registering as an individual or as a team and fundraise.
All donations raised will help support the work of WayAhead – Mental Health Association NSW.
