Lift the Load Challenge
September 1 - October 31Free
Carry 10kg across 50km and help lift the load of poor mental health amongst males during World Mental Health Month this October.
The weight of poor mental health is heavy, exhausting and paralysing, making even the smallest of tasks feel like a mountain to climb. Imagine carrying this around and never feeling like you can take it off.
With almost 1 in 2 males experiencing a mental health disorder in their lifetime, chances are, you know someone struggling with the weight of their mental health. And with 75% of mental illnesses emerging before the age of 24, it starts as young men.
By signing up to Lift the Load, you’re raising funds for Top Blokes Foundation’s vital mental health support programs for boys in schools and communities. You’re giving young men the skills to build positive mental health and the resilience to overcome its challenges. You’re helping boys grow to become healthy and safe men.
This is the Challenge: carry a 10kg weighted vest on your shoulders for 50km, spread over the month of October. It’s up to you whether you want to run, walk or wheel, and it’s up to you how you want to pace it out across the month. Spread the word with your family and friends and raise money to support vital mental health programs for young men.
