Mental Health – Art Works! Exhibition

This is the 17th annual mental health art exhibition held to celebrate Mental Health Month on the Central Coast. In this multi-award winning exhibition, hosted by the Central Coast Mental Health Service, artworks are created by someone with lived experience of mental illness, including family and carers. Artists of all ages are invited to exhibit works in a diverse range of mediums including painting, sculpture, drawing, ceramics and photography. As part of our continuing support for our community, each Sunday at 10am, our 'Karma' yoga class is a donation-based class, minimum of $5 where are proceeds go to a charity of our choice. For October, we are pleased to support WayAhead for Mental Health Month! This class is open to all, with no previous experience of yoga necessary. Come move, breath and sweat to feel good, whilst your dollars will go to do good!

Random Acts of Kindness

Staff from Centacare Southwest NSW will be engaging in "Random Acts of Kindness" in Griffith NSW and the surrounding communities as we reflect the benefits of positive actions toward obtaining and maintaining good mental health. Laminated cards will be handed out asking the recipients to pay a "random act of kindness" forward to demonstrate the impact that this small contribution can have.
